The 3rd International Conference of UNESCO’s Global Network of Water Museums will take place in Valencia, Spain, from 12th to 15th June 2019.

Organized by the Water Tribunal of Valencia and the University of Valencia, in cooperation with Civiltà dell’Acqua International Centre and the University of Venice Ca’ Foscari, and with the support of the Generalitat Valenciana, the 3rd International Conference foresees a number of interactive seminars on Communication, Digital Media, Education, and SDGs. It will take place in conjunction with the 1st Conference of the Tribunal de las Aguas de la Vega de Valencia, with specific sessions on: Water Management and Sustainability; The Cultural Heritage of Irrigation: new Techniques of Analisis and Valorization; Waterscapes and Museography, and the Museography of Waterscapes
Field trips to the cultural landscape of the huertas of Andalusian origin and the Albufera lagoon are planned together with a post-conference tour to Elche, where the largest European historical palm ground is located.
