Following the disastrous earthquake that struck Morocco and in particular the Marrakech region last September, WAMU-NET launched a fundraising campaign to rebuild one of the last traditional water mills in the Upper Atlas.
Thanks to the generosity of WAMU-NET members, we are really pleased to announce that the funds have been successfully raised and donated to the local community, with the purpose of repairing the old mill and empowering the role of the last surviving water masters
