Thanks to a collaboration with the Museu das Águas Brasileiras, in partnership with the ALANA Institute (www.alana.org.br) and LCOY (Local Youth Conference - YOUNGO events, the official youth constituency of the UNFCCC), WAMU-NET invites children and teenagers to write letters about how climate change affects their lives and their communities.
The aim is to ensure that their voices and ideas are heard in the decisions that will shape the future of our planet. All letters will be delivered to the COP30 Presidency, and we are working to ensure that these contributions are considered in official documents.
Letters should be submitted in PDF format by October 10th to museudaagua@uft.edu.br (to the attention of Liliana Pena Naval ).
Two resources are available to download below: a Step-by-Step Guide for Young Leaders and a Teacher’s Guide. Together, they introduce COP30 and offer practical tips on writing and submitting letters. You are welcome to adapt the materials to your context—for example, you may add your museum as a partner in the initiative.
If possible, please share these materials with your students, teachers and audiences.
With your support, we can bring young voices and ideas from our communities to COP30.
