AQUAPLAY

An educational tool to engage youth by raising awareness of environmental challenges and protecting water heritage

AQUAPLAY is an interactive educational tool for students worldwide to explore the importance of water through fun and creative coloring activities.

HOW TO USE THIS TOOL.
You can choose drawings to color from one of the following water-related themes:
-        Biodiversity and Freshwater Ecosystems
-        Water Heritage and Living Waters
-        Climate Change, Pollution and Water Scarcity
-        Peace and Cooperation through Water

You can color your drawing online and save it as a PDF or print it, once you’re happy with the result. Or you can download a black-and-white copy to print and color it with your preferred artistic technique.

Once you select your drawing, you will be directed to the website of UACE to color it online. To color more drawings, please return to the ‘AQUAPLAY’ webpage.

AQUAPLAY’s drawings capture the vision of the new generations for preserving water heritage, addressing water pollution, and proposing futuristic solutions for water scarcity.

Every year, water museums in the Global Network of Water Museums (WAMU-NET) participate in the Youth Contest and Award 'The Water We Want' (TWWW). This competition centres on the voices of young people (6- 25 years old) and gives them the opportunity to express their perspectives on water heritage through creativity.

Through TWWW and AQUAPLAY, WAMU-NET aims to strengthen sustainability education and foster new water perceptions and behaviors among the younger generation, engaging students as water ambassadors and storytellers of our liquid futures.

AQUAPLAY was developed as part of CREDIT (Creative Digital Tools) - a project funded by the European Union’s Creative Europe Programme, in collaboration with DOC Servizi, Virtualgeo and other partners.
