On the occasion of the inauguration of the new office of WAMU-NET in Ala (Trento), guitarist and composer Andrea Vettoretti was named "WAMU-NET Musical Ambassador 2025". The award is based on the artist’s proximity to water and its care: a deep interest that has recently led him to create new songs dedicated to the Global Network of Water Museums. These compositions, inspired by WAMU-NET’s projects "The Water We Want" and "The Voices of Water", were presented in preview at the inauguration of Ala.
Andrea is now working on "The Breath of Water / Il Respiro dell'Acqua": title of his new album that will be released in the autumn of 2025, with four songs dedicated to WAMU-NET, and which aims to explore water in all its forms, identifying rivers and seas as living beings. A new musical chapter that relates synergistically with the role of Ambassador of the WAMU-NET Network.
The music of Andrea Vettoretti combines classical tradition, minimalism and world music, and is characterized by a personal style. The composer, with his guitar, develops themes and stories creating new sound visions that move between tradition and innovation. Andrea defines his creative process as follows: "I like to experiment, explore new ways that lead to synthesis. In classical music I am fascinated by the depth and complexity, while in other genres I appreciate simplicity and communicative strength."
As part of his international career, Vettoretti has performed in prestigious theatres such as the Queen Elizabeth Hall in London, the Teatro La Fenice in Venice and the Palau de la Música in Valencia, and has released eleven albums, including Quantum One, dedicated to the universe and science, and Nocturnal Stars, released with CNI Music. Thanks to his artistic commitment, always oriented towards sustainability and ecology, the guitarist also participated in the G7 dedicated to the environment, where his music represented a combination of art and ecological awareness.
