We are excited to announce the launch of a significant initiative – the development of an online global repository dedicated to water education resources – following this year's webinar discussions on museum education. This repository aims to be a valuable resource accessible to students, teachers and museum professionals worldwide and will be hosted on a dedicated page on the WAMU-NET's website.
Given WAMU-NET's commitment to water sustainability education as a core objective of its activities, Day 2 of the 5th WAMU-NET International Conference, taking place in Porto later this year (9–11 October), will be dedicated to exploring this theme and launching the initiative of the global repository of water education resources.
For this purpose, we are seeking proposals for a 10-minute presentation that aims to present and reflect on educational resources (not activities) that have been successfully deployed for water awareness education purposes within water museums. Proposals submitted to this call will also be considered for the online repository, at a later stage.
Please refer to the Call for Proposals for guidelines and submission requirements.
Deadline for submission: 30 June 2024
Notification of outcome: 30 August 2024
To submit your proposal, please use the online form. If you encounter any issues accessing the form, please contact us for assistance.
As we embark on this exciting project, your contributions will play a pivotal role in creating a comprehensive repository that benefits our global community. We appreciate your commitment to this initiative and look forward to receiving your submissions. Please feel free to reach out with any questions to communication@watermuseums.net.
