WAMU-NET is pleased to spread the call to join the SoilTribes Community of Practice (CoP): a collaborative movement for soil health and sustainability.
Individuals and organizations from various sectors (academia, business, society, government) interested in soil health and sustainability are welcome to join the SoilTribes CoP!
You can find more information about the SoilTribes CoP at this link to fill out your Expression of Interest form.
Becoming a member of the SoilTribes CoP is a unique opportunity to collaborate with professionals from different fields, including soil scientists, researchers, businesses and policymakers; accessing micro-grant opportunities to develop innovative soil-related projects; play an active role in influencing soil-related policies at different levels; and engage in workshops, design thinking bootcamps and discussions to address soil sustainability.
The SoilTribes Community of Practice (CoP) is designed to become a collaborative platform that brings together stakeholders from academia, business, government, and society. The CoP’s primary goal is to address soil degradation by co-developing innovative solutions and engaging in interdisciplinary collaborations.
WAMU-NET is a project partner of SoilTribes and is tasked with organizing a traveling exhibition for artists entitled “Soil Art Tales. Living Ecosystems for Shared Futures”.
SoilTribes is a Horizon Europe project developed under the Call “Mission Soil – Soil Deal for Europe”, funded by the European Research Executive Agency (REA). It is brought forward by a consortium of 25 partners from 10 European countries, including WAMU-NET, and it will last until December 2027.
The project aims at establishing, activating, and empowering glocal ecosystems for soil values, roles, and connectivity through “back to Earth” narratives by bridging science, technology, arts, and community-driven action.
