In the past 12 months we have taken huge steps to safeguard our historic boat collection by carefully lifting 12 boats out of the water and putting them on display for the public to see.

Using new technology, the boats, and their stories have been brought back to life through video and 360 degree views to showcase journeys these boats would once have taken. The display also includes an interactive game which shows how an icebreaker boat would have cut its way through the ice on the canals. This is proving very popular with our family audience.
