Following its successful first presentation at the Serralves Foundation in Porto (11 February – 26 April 2026), the travelling exhibition Soil Art Tales: Living Ecosystems for Shared Futures arrives in Rome as its second stop.
The exhibition will open to the public at Villa Altieri from 15 May to 5 June, Monday to Friday, 9:30–17:30.
Developed within the Horizon Europe project SoilTribes and organised by WAMU+NET in collaboration with ANBI and the Metropolitan City of Rome Capital, the exhibition is curated by Stefano Cagol.
Bringing together the works of Binta Diaw, Nikki Lindt, Jo Pearl, and Miguel Teodoro, the exhibition explores the deep interconnections between soil, water, and life. Through installations, multimedia works, and participatory experiences, it invites visitors to rediscover soil as a living ecosystem and a shared resource essential for sustainable futures.
The opening event on 14 May (at 17:00) will include institutional greetings, followed by a guided tour led by the curator and an informal aperitivo.
As part of a broader European travelling programme, Soil Art Tales continues to engage audiences across different cultural contexts, fostering dialogue between art, science, and environmental awareness.
